‘Kamal Hasan is India’s Al Pacino’

Acclaimed Indian cinematographer Rathnavelu aka Randy, who has been a part of numerous big-budget projects, is currently waiting to rejoin the sets of Kamal Haasan-starrer ‘Indian 2’ directed by Shankar. While the talented cinematographer has worked with director Shankar in Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ‘Endhiran’, it is the first time he is working with Kamal Haasan in a film.
In a recent interview with a popular Tamil magazine, the ace cinematographer has opened up about with the big stars in Tamil and Telugu and much more. Talking about his experience of working with Kamal Haasan, cinematographer Rathnavelu says that Kamal Haasan is one of the topmost performers of all time and that it is ideal to call him our country’s Al Pacino. The ace cinematographer is confident that everyone will agree that Kamal Haasan is synonymous with performance in cinema. While ‘Indian 2’ is the first time Rathnavelu is working along with the Ulaganayagan in a film, he revealed that he has worked very less so far in the film, but calls Kamal Haasan a genius.
