Joseph stresses the vital role of financial backing for India’s Oscar entries. Despite refraining from naming the film earlier, he informed Antony of his intention to reveal the movie’s name post-completion. Antony refuted the allegations, but Joseph asserted that he reimbursed the money only after receiving a legal notice. ‘Falimy,’ starring Jagadish, Basil Joseph, and Manju Pillai, garnered positive responses and was one of the best comedy-drama films of 2023.
Director Jude Anthany Joseph recently revisited the controversy surrounding actor Antony Varghese, shedding new light on the events that transpired during the production of ‘Falimy.’ He highlighted Antony’s sudden withdrawal from the film just 18 days before taking an advance payment of Rs 10 lakh, expressing regret over involving the actor’s family in the past.

 

During his interaction with the press, Jude Anthany Joseph admitted regret for dragging Antony Varghese’s family into the controversy while standing by the accusations previously made against the actor. Refusing to retract his statements, he clarified that although he refrained from naming the film earlier to protect the producer, he had informed Antony of his intention to reveal the movie’s name post the project’s completion.
