Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam join hands for KH234
Kamal Haasan is currently the busiest superstar in Tamil cinema with four films in different stages of production. While the shoot of Indian 2 has wrapped up, Kamal has signed up for three more big projects – Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898AD, H Vinoth’s KH233, and Mani Ratnam’s KH234. It was expected that Mani Ratnam’s project would go on the floors after Kamal’s film with Vinoth. However, it looks like Kamal will be working on both projects simultaneously as KH234 was launched in Chennai on Friday.
The launch event had the film’s composer AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad, and cinematographer Ravi K Chandran in attendance. The surprise entry was stunt choreographer duo AnbAriv, known for their work in films like Vikram, Leo, Kaithi, and Doctor, which suggests that the film might be an actioner.

Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam have not collaborated since Nayakan, even though the film is one of the most popular Indian films of all time. There’s a huge expectation from KH234 as it has the two revered filmmakers of the industry. On top of that, the film also has AR Rahman, a frequent collaborator of Mani Ratnam, which has made the project all the more exciting.
