Leo: Highest first-week grosser in the history of Tamil cinema overtaking Jailer

Thalapathy Vijay’s action drama Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is ruling the roost at the box office. The movie registered the highest-ever opening for a Tamil film by collecting 148 crores gross on its first day.

Now Leo has overtaken Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer and became the highest first-week grosser in the history of Tamil cinema. Leo grossed 461 crores till now at the worldwide box office as per the production house.

Jailer collected a little over 600 crores in its lifetime, and now Leo is expected to surpass the Rajini starrer within a few days. As per a few reports, Leo is well on track to become the highest-grosser in Tamil Nadu, crossing PS 1.
