‘Peace Lily Sand Castle’ selected for Toulouse Indian film festival
Konkani short Film Peace Lily Sand Castle has been officially selected at the prestigious Toulouse Indian Film Festival in France. The film will have its international premiere in France at the festival that is to take place from 18th April 2024.
The 22 minute short film features Goan Cast including Daksha Shirodkar , Ugam Zambaulikar and Sobita and has been shot at Caranzalam.
The film also had its screening at the 54th International Film Festival of India , Goa in November 2023 where it had garnered praise and positive response from the festival audience.
Written by Himanshu Singh the film is a conversation between two ladies where they talk about a house that they have shared at different times.
Producer Kishor Arjun said that he is quite happy with the selection of the film at the International Festival and the praise it is getting at different festivals.
The film was awarded the best film on women empowerment at Indo-French film festival in 2023.
Director Himanshu said that he is indebted to the cast members and the crew that worked hard to bring the narrative to the screen .
The film had been entirely shot in Goa in September 2023 and has all cast members from Goa.
