Raavi Kishor: From Goa’s Stage to Southern Industry, Crowned ‘Brand Kolhapur’

A tale of talent transcending borders unfolds as Raavi Kishor, once a shining star at Goa Kala Academy’s repertory company, now graces the southern cinema stage, receiving the prestigious accolade of ‘Brand Kolhapur’ courtesy of MLA Satej Patil’s esteemed organization. This honor, a tribute to her unwavering dedication to the realms of drama and cinema, shines a spotlight on Raavi’s exceptional journey. Today, on November 16, the much-anticipated award ceremony will take place at Kolhapur’s Sayaji Hotel, where she’ll be felicitated by Satej Patil alongside Sunil Limaye, former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Maharashtra, and other distinguished guests.

Hailing from Karamali-Goa, Raavi, a former luminary of the Goa Kala Academy’s repertory company, fortified her craft by attaining a Master’s in Theatre Arts from Mumbai University. Over the past four years, her acting prowess has graced stages and screens, spanning across Konkani, Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, Telugu, and English.

Presently rooted in Kochi, Kerala, Raavi has mastered the Malayalam language, essential for her prominent roles in the vibrant Malayalam film industry. Her contributions extend beyond the silver screen, starring in impactful commercials and short films endorsed by the Health Department of the Government of Kerala. Raavi also stands as the charismatic face of multiple brands in the scenic state. Not limiting her reach, she has essayed pivotal roles in Telugu web series and commercials. Her captivating lead roles in Konkani, Hindi, and Marathi Feature Films have garnered international acclaim, featuring at renowned International film festivals in Goa, New York, and Australia, awaiting a release in theaters and on popular OTT platforms.
